Natasha and Reggie approached me in a bit of a frantic as covid completely was trying to take over their wedding plans! Luckily I was so so extremely excited (( understatement)) to say I was available to capture their big day!
Now let’s talk about about their beautiful venue Jekyll Island Club Resort! OH MY GOSH were my exact words when I slightly did some stalking to look up this venue at which I had never shot at! I could not wait to shoot her wedding after seeing the many gorgeous photos of this historical venue. Fast forward to her wedding day and the forecast that day was a little on the rain side. We all know Florida is super unpredictable but either way I was determined and always there to create magic regardless of the forecast. For their ceremony there was no rain but shortly after the ceremony wrapped and I took some bridal party photos it begin to come down. My first thought was “I’ll stand in the rain and keep my couples dry!” I did just that. For most of the shots towards the end with the bridal party and bride and groom shots the whole team is in the rain while they are under a covering I’d selected for their shots. The most beautiful thing about the doorway I chose to photograph the bride and groom in is that doorways signify transition and what a truly beautiful transition this couple has made!
