This lovely couple were supposed to get married in a beautiful oak tree garden in Palm Coast, Florida with 200+ guest in attendance! Covid-19 drastically changed their plans. Their venue shut down completely and canceled their wedding. The two were devastated to say the least. This couple then became determined to not let this pandemic ruin their day 3/28/2020. They cut their list from 200+ to just over 30 people including their wedding party! They found a beautiful intimate home in Savannah, Georgia where they had the most beautiful and intimate courtyard wedding one could only hope for in such a crazy time.
The bride’s father married them in the most beautiful way as he stood more towards the aisle and the couple stood at the altar. The bride is also an artist and she incorporated that during their ceremony where they painted a beautiful canvas together to signify them becoming one. She also hand-painted their welcome sign and had each of her bridesmaids painted on their own personal coffee cups! The colors, the smiles, and just everything about their day ended up being more perfect than they both AND MYSELF could have ever imagined.
There were certainly challenges like the fact that the groomsmen could not get their tux so with this young couple being quick on their feet they were able to still pull it together by getting suspenders for them all and a simple bow tie, black slacks to save the day! The bride for her bridesmaids’ dress was able to beautifully mix it up by getting a different dress for each bridesmaid which gave the overall look a unique and fun twist! I even brought in smoke bombs to have a little fun with the bridal party during portraits because as you can see from all of their smiles this couple LOVES to laugh and so does their bridal party! The caterer situation ended up working in their favor also because even though they couldn’t have their original one from Florida they found the most delicious coffee and waffles company ( which was much needed after the hustle and bustle to pull this off in another state suddenly!). Readers that you can really turn lemons into lemonade. To also remind them that everything happens as it should.
