Washington DC Love Story

I LOVE traveling to capture love stories for my couples so when Ciara and jawaun told me they would like to fly me to DC you can only imagine my excitement! With elections quickly approaching I didn’t know what to expect in DC but prepared for just about anything. Arrival went extremely smooth and loved that my hotel was literally a block away from Black Lives Matter Plaza! The plaza is definitely a place to see IN PERSON. The goal when I arrive is to scope locations day before their shoot when my couples fly me out day before their actual session; Don’t worry though even if I have never seen your location/venue I am quick on my feet 🙂

Shoot day came and I moved their shoot time a little earlier since there appeared to be a big chance of rain later in the day. Good thing we did that because it did end up raining later in the day (talk about good timing!) Ciara and Jawaun picked me up from my hotel and I was so excited to see how dapper they looked! In my style guide I literally talk about how “dapper never goes out of style”, well they took that and RAN WITH IT! We started shooting at the Capitol l Building and then made our way to the Lincoln memorial where we shot all around that area. Check out their session in the DC.
